It’s popular to say these days, but having a system in place is going to be the easiest way to get more online reviews, consistently.

What I mean by “system” is having a process, a method of doing things, a simple but effective thing you do extremely consistently.

I’m not going to make you watch a 2 hour webinar, give me your email address, and pay me $997 for this system. So let’s get down to it!

Think about how you leave a customers house currently after finishing a job. You probably shake hands, thank them, exchange some awkward smiles because you’re glad you were able to help them but you want to get out of there. And if you’ve been around for awhile, you may even step this up a bit and hand them a business card. Nicely done. You get a “Hell yeah!” from us for doing something other than awkwardly walking away.

Here’s the simple system that saves time, and that works to get more online reviews, for free, and it’s as easy as possible.

As you finish up a job, a handshake and a smile aren’t bad. Don’t get us wrong. Definitely do that. You just have to add a few steps.

You can do 1 of 2 things. Either 1) let them know that you will send them an email and text later that day to ask for reviews, or 2) ask them to grab their phone and send them the template as you’re standing there.

Number 2 may sound a bit aggressive, but trust me, it’s not and most happy customers would gladly leave you a review and show you that they’ve done it.

Either way, here’s what you can say.

In A Text:

Thank you for your business! If you were satisfied with our work, we’d love it if you’d leave us a review.
[Your Business Name] Review Outlet:

Yelp: link to your reviews

In An Email (purposely more text involved):

We just wanted to take a moment and let you know that we genuinely appreciate you choosing us to complete your [project name].

It is our priority to ensure that you had an amazing experience. If things did not go as you had hoped, please contact us as soon as possible at info@businessname.com or call us at [phone number].

If you are happy with your service, we'd like to respectfully ask you to review our service on the following outlets. Reviews are very critical to a company likes ours, and we understand that we need to have earned it first!
